Who am I?...good question

Being honest, I have the foggiest idea how has this guitar mumbo-jumbo, because my musical life has been a continuous roller coaster.

Lets say in some way I consider myself a self-taught musician. I have had classes in certain moments (some of them have been an incentive and opened doors to new places) but I am very picky in what I like musically . Chema Vilchez was the person that ordered my mess and put me on the right path.

All this time I have played in many different bands of many different styles. Among them I can stress Tatto Tucum, a progressive rock in which I started playing live and I love very much, or Guateque All Stars with whom I have recorded several songs and have played many live concerts, festivals and even a musical.

In 2001 one of my songs was selected as "track of the month" in Total Guitar Magazine and his director Rafa Zaragoza calls me to work as part of the editorial staff. This gives me the opportunity to interview and meet personally musicians like Pat Metheny, Mike Stern, Dean Brown, Jack Bruce, David Fiuczynski, Steve Howe and bands like the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Tool or Screaming Headless Torsos.

In 2004 I start working as a composer of music for TV Ads, short films and TV programs and up until now this takes most of my time.

At the end of 2006 I start gathering songs and ideas I had around. Every time I played in a band  I would suggest the ideas to see how would they work in reality. Some of this ideas integrate now Rotonova, although in a very different shape that they were conceived.

In the middle of 2007 I met Pepe Acebal, incredible drum player, and I proposed him to record the songs that finally make Rotonova.

Right now Pepe, the bass player Antonio Peñalver and I form a demolishing trio. High voltage fusion groove, not recommended for closed minds.

In 2009 I meet Blues& Soul organ player Mauri Sanchis and I become part of his Super Band. We played in various festivals like the Jazz Festival of San Javier or Polisonic in Gandía. I’m also part of his Modern Organ Trio together with drummer Blas Fernandez.

In November 2009 I also have the pleasure of collaborating as endorser of one of the brands that are part of the History of electric guitar: Gibson.
